This Wednesday, January 22 in the morning, an SNCF agent was electrocuted to death on the tracks at Toulon station, an hour from Marseille.
Train traffic is, for the moment, completely interrupted between Aubagne and Carnoules. Traffic should resume around 11 a.m.

A tragedy occurred this morning on a railway site near Toulon station, where an SNCF worker lost his life. According to Here Provencethe agent would have been electrocuted in circumstances which have yet to be clarified.
“An SNCF agent lost his life on a railway site in the Var,” said the president of the Paca region Renaud Muselier, on the X network. “My immediate thoughts are with the victim and his loved ones,” said -he also reacted.

A power outage
Rail traffic was immediately interrupted between Aubagne and Carnoules to allow emergency services and technical teams to intervene.
A little later, a power outage also reported by the SNCF at Toulon station, and undoubtedly linked to this accident, further impacted traffic between Nice and Marseille. Travelers should expect significant delays as well as train cancellations on this route.
