Transfer that no one saw coming: Radja Nainggolan signs with second division club Lokeren-Temse
Anyone who thought that Radja Nainggolan had already retired from football will be disappointed. The 36-year-old ex-Red Devil makes a very surprising transfer to second division Lokeren-Temse. He must help the club in the battle for survival.
Radja Nainggolan has found a new challenge in Belgian football.
After a much-discussed period at Antwerp, the midfielder moved to the Italian SPAL, coached by close friend Daniele De Rossi, but that was not a success. Nor will a striking transfer to Indonesian Bhayangkara at the end of 2023.
Afterwards, Nainggolan searched in vain for a new employer for a long time.
Appearances in Gerard Piqué’s Kings League and at a Mechelen futsal club created the impression that the Woelwater would only play football for fun.
-Nothing turned out to be further from the truth.
On Tuesday evening, second division KSC Lokeren-Temse, which is currently 11th in the Challenger Pro League, reached an agreement with Nainggolan. His experience should help the East Flemish club in the battle for retention.
This afternoon, Nainggolan will be introduced to his new employer.
