It is worth noting that this is only the second hat-trick by an SLB player in the Champions League since 92/93, after João Marosca shone against Inter. Last season, João Mário scored three goals, also against Inter, and was the first to do so since the 90s.
Finally, Pavlidis became the fifth player to score a hat-trick in the Champions League for a Portuguese club, after Gyökeres, Evanilson, Brahimi and João Mário.
