MELBOURNE: Seagulls are notorious for creating havoc at the MCG and now they are leaving their mark on Rod Laver Arena next door.
In the latest in a long line of bizarre Australian Open moments, Alexander Zverev lost his cool over a feather on centre court during his spicy quarter-final clash with Tommy Paul on Tuesday.
The world No.2 was already cranky over a close line call during the second set.

And a feather was the final straw after it fell on the court in the middle of a rally and prompted chair umpire Nacho Forcadell to call a replay of a point that Zverev felt he was in control of.
“This is unbelievable,” Zverev told Forcadell.
“It’s a feather. There’s millions of them on the court.”

Zverev won the first two sets 7-6 after dominating the tie breaks 7-1 and 7-0.
Paul, the 12th seed, had his own grumbles with the umpire during the first set tiebreak as he complained about a supposed missed let call.
“If you don’t hear that one or see that one you are not going to see any,” the American said.
