As you wake up this morning, and walk outside, not only will you experience lows in the 30′s, but wind chills have it feeling more like we’re in the 20′s across parts of the viewing area.
These cold temperatures aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Starting Tuesday evening into overnight, we’re expecting a wintery mix to move through GA and FL.
Beginning Tuesday evening, Georgia will begin to see a wintery mix, and it continues to move into FL during the overnight hours.
Snow is likely in Georgia, while most of Florida is set to see sleet and freezing rain. Black ice on the roads could be a big issue- and remember bridges freeze first.
-Power outages could be a problem, because when you have ice reaching .10″ to .25″, it can cause damage to power lines, and weigh down trees.
Freezing low temperatures are expected for Tuesday and Wednesday as the wintery mix moves through, and wind chills will be in the 20′s.
Things begin to improve mid-day Wednesday, as a low pressure system forms across the Gulf and moves through S FL.
