Jason Statham is no stranger to any movie fanatic. A veteran in the industry, Statham made his film debut more than two decades ago, taking on the role of a con man in Guy Ritchie’s Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels (1998). Earning widespread praise, Statham then progressed to Ritchie’s second film, Snatch, in 2000. Since his early days in the industry, the actor has gone on to have an illustrious career and is currently known as one of the most talented and enduring action heroes in the industry.
Statham broke into the action genre with his 2002 film The Transporter, and in the years since then, he has had many hit projects. Fans have been treated to new Jason Statham-led works consistently over the years, coming off with the highly successful hit The Beekeeper in 2024 and heading into 2025 with A Working Man, scheduled for release in March. Further alluding to Statham’s repute among audiences and demand for Statham-headed films is Prime Video’s charts. While the platform has a considerable collection of Statham’s work, the actor’s films have claimed coveted spots on the streamer’s charts this month, making Prime Video the place to be if you are a Jason Statham fan.
Jason Statham’s Films are in Prime Video’s Top 10 List
Jason Statham has not one but two films planted in Prime Video’s global Top 10 list. The actor’s 2021 film Wrath of Man claims the fourth spot on the chart, falling just behind Your fault (2024), Red One (2024), and Blame Mia (2023). Statham’s 2023 film Meg 2: The Trench, the sequel to The Me (2018), sits comfortably in the charts’ ninth spot. Ahead of Meg 2 are Knox Goes Away (2024)Apocalypse Z: The Beginning of the End (2024)The Idea of You (2024), and Road House (2024), respectively.
Both Wrath of Man and Meg 2 were box-office successes for Statham. The former sees the actor take on the role of an unassuming but mysterious security guard. However, in true Jason Statham-style, the protagonist’s true skills are kept under wraps until a heist attempt uncovers them. Simply going by the name ‘H,’ Statham’s character has an ulterior motive: to settle a score and avenge the death of his son. The Guy Ritchie-directed Wrath of Man currently carries a gross of $103.9 million worldwide on a $40 million budget and has an impressive 90% on Rotten Tomatoes’ Popcornmeter.

The actor had quite a successful 2024, and it looks as if Statham’s work may travel the same route in 2025. The actor’s upcoming film, A Working Man, has already generated some buzz. Directed by David Ayer, Statham steps back into a familiar role where he is called to shed his by-the-books persona to embark on a rescue mission. Statham is tasked with rescuing his boss’s daughter, who has been kidnapped.
The premise of the film is somewhat similar to 2024’s The Beekeeper. Last year’s film saw Statham ditch his beekeeper life to embark on a mission to avenge the death of his neighbor. Statham’s close friend and neighbor takes her own life after being the victim of a phishing scam.
This similarity may stem from the fact that A Working Man is Statham and David Ayer’s second collaboration, with the duo having previously worked on The Beekeeper. The formula that puts together Statham and action is an undoubted crowd-pleaser, and despite having a similar premise to the 2024 film, it is safe to assume that Statham will yet again bring a unique, fresh approach to A Working Man. A Working Man is scheduled for release on March 28, 2024.
