The Golden State Warriors welcomed a familiar face at the Chase Center on Saturday night with the Washington Wizards in town. The Warriors have a short two-game homestand starting with a showdown against Jordan Poole and the six-win Wizards.
Poole was in the starting lineup along with Bub Carrington, Bilal Coulibaly, Kyle Kuzma and Alex Sarr. The Wizards were on an eight-game losing streak heading into tonight’s game. They also owned the worst record in the NBA at 6-33.
Meanwhile, coach Steve Kerr got Draymond Green back after missing their previous game. The other starters were Steph Curry, Dennis Schroder, Andrew Wiggins and Trayce Jackson-Davis.

Both teams struggled to make shots in the first quarter, except for Poole had an early party with eight points on 3-for-6 shooting. The Wizards had the better energy at the end of the first 12 minutes, as well as a 29-25 lead.
In the second quarter, the Wizards continued their surprising momentum by pouncing on the Warriors. Poole went from hot to scorching, adding 15 more points to give his team a 60-53 at halftime. Curry has 13 points in 13 shots for Golden State.
