Caen sinks in Ajaccio and slips into the red zone
AC Ajaccio went through all the emotions in their relegation duel against SM Caen this Friday evening. The Corsicans finally won (2-1), after conceding the opener from the Caen captain, Alexandre Mendy (62nd), who then ended a series of six matches without scoring. Rather dominant in the game, Ajaccio logically equalized from a corner, through Axel Bamba (70th), before taking the advantage thanks to Aboubakary Kanté, on a new corner kick (83rd). With its new Portuguese coach Bruno Baltazar, Caen suffered a fifth defeat in a row and fell from the play-off place to 17th place, which was ceded to it by AC Ajaccio.
