Prague (Czech Republic)'s historic trams and their retro lines are popular with tourists and passengers. An original way to discover the most beautiful monuments of the capital, without leaving your seat.
-In Prague, Czech Republic, it is impossible to miss the trams, which speed through the city streets. With their retro look inherited from the Cold War and their bright colors, the old trams add to the charm of line 22. For 14 years, Lucie Bendova has enjoyed driving her passengers on this route which she marvels at every morning. “I see Saint-Nicolas Cathedral, (…) I look to the right, I see the famous Charles Bridge, it’s absolutely magnificent”she comments.
Practical and fast, the 22 is the royal line of Prague. It stretches over 21 kilometers and passes close to the most beautiful monuments. It takes 68 minutes to complete it. It is also the busiest line in the capital: the inhabitants of Prague like to take it and sit aboard these timeless T3 models from the 1960s. The old historic trams still have a bright future ahead of them: they will be able to continue to travel for a long time on dedicated lines.
