The management of the Lunch Garden restaurant chain has invited the unions to a special works council next Monday. This is confirmed by the Christian trade union ACV Nutrition and Services, which expects bad news.

The Lunch Garden chain, which has about sixty restaurants, has undergone restructuring in recent years. At the end of 2023, more than 800 people still worked at the company, while in 2020 there were still 1,100.

According to ACV trade unionist Leen Huybrechts, the subject of the special works council is “an update on the current situation”. The meeting starts on Monday at 8:30 am at the company’s headquarters in Evere.
