Maxime Guény, emblematic face of TPMP, spoke about the reasons for his withdrawal from the show, while the latter is preparing to change channels.
Since the announcement of the end of the broadcast of Don't Touch My Post on C8 in February 2025, fans of the program cross a real emotional roller coaster. The decision taken by Arcom to withdraw the DTT channel also caused an outcry. A massive mobilization was even held in front of the organization's Paris headquarters, with hundreds of Cyril Hanouna supporters shouting their anger.
True to his panache, the one we nicknamed Baba even spoke to reassure the crowd: “You know that I am fighting for us to continue and for TPMP to continue”. Et his efforts seem to be paying off! According to Purepeople, Don't Touch My Post would be in the process of joining the CStar channel, on channel 17. From February 25, 2025, the flagship show should therefore continue to illuminate French homes, while allowing the channel to attract a new audience. But what about the faces that embody the show?
Maxime Guény, a columnist now retired from Touche Pas à Mon Poste
Among the emblematic figures of TPMP: Maxime Guény. However, the journalist has been rare on the air for some time… With a lot of hindsight, he returned to the reasons for his withdrawal in an interview given to Jordan De Luxe. Confident of maintaining good terms with Cyril Hanouna, he explains that his absence is mainly due to editorial decisions: “You have seen that the show has taken a very topical turn, very news items. Having a more cultural, entertainment, media profile… everything can be explained in this way.”
-Far from being bitter, the former columnist even recognizes that this situation allowed him to devote himself to other projects, notably the creation of his own magazine. However, he adds: “The first weeks, maybe a little [de peine]but after you tell yourself that this is the rule of the game. When you see the history, the history of TPMP with all these columnists, you say to yourself that in the end, we are part of the gang”. A nice way of looking at things. And who knows? With the future move of TPMP to CStar, perhaps a surprise return of Maxime Guény could brighten up the set. After all, in Cyril Hanouna's world, anything can happen!
