Due to recent rainy episodes, the level of the Seine reached 20 meters at the end of last week in Poissy, i.e. 3 meters above its usual level. Météo France has placed the department of Yvelines, as well as that of Val-d'Oise, on yellow alert this Monday, January 13 for the risk of flooding.
But the services of the City of Poissy did not wait to take preventive measures: pumps were installed on the island of Migneaux in order to limit the damage.
The walk on the banks of the Seine, under the Vieux-Pont and Cours du 14-Juillet along the river, was also prohibited to the public last week. The return of the sun, however, allowed the river to begin its decline at the start of the week.
