The meteorological services warned of heavy thunderstorms in the central and eastern states until Saturday.
The Meteorological Department raised the alert level to level three, red. Heavy thunderstorm rain falling in amounts exceeding 60 mm locally. Starting at six in the evening on Friday and continuing until six in the morning on Saturday in the states of Bejaia and Jijel.
The same authorities also raised a third-degree alert for heavy rain falling in quantities exceeding 60 mm, starting at six o’clock on Saturday morning. It will continue until six o’clock on Saturday evening. In the states of Boumerdes, Algiers, Blida and Tipaza.
