NARRATIVE – After obtaining some concessions from François Bayrou, the socialist deputies, with the exception of eight of them, chose not to immediately sanction the prime minister. Even if it means going against the grain of the three other forces of the New Popular Front.
For days, the socialists hesitated. But at the end of the negotiations, the PS deputies made the choice, in the large majority, not to censor François Bayrou from this Thursday. Only 8 socialist deputies, out of 66, voted for it. A final letter from the Prime Minister, in which he undertakes to take up certain measures defended by Olivier Faure's troops, has come to ratify their position. While the PS was divided on the question, the first secretary defended the « non-censorship » by ensuring that the party of the rose appeared in « strong position » at the end of the negotiations.
According to him, François Bayrou's concessions to the socialists will make it possible to « advance the causes to which the French are attached ». Among the main gains: discussions in favor of a tax on the optimization of high assets, the abandonment of partial reimbursement of medicines,
