The action continues to motor along at the Australian Open, with the final second-round matches set to take place. The Tracker is here to provide you with all the results and the latest news from Melbourne.

12:31 CET – More American success in Melbourne as Danielle Collins (31), who needed a medical timeout in the second set, was made to work hard against Destanee Aiava (24), but she prevailed 7-6(4), 4-6, 6-2.

12:06 CET – It was a test for world number one Jannik Sinner (23) against Australian wildcard Tristan Schoolkate (23), but the Italian is through to the next round, winning in four sets 6-4, 4-6, 6-1, 6-3.

11:43 CET – Nineteenth seed Madison Keys (29) has earned her spot in the Australian Open third round, thanks to a topsy-turvy victory over Elena Gabriela Ruse (27). The American won the contest 7-6(1), 2-6, 7-5 to progress.

10:55 CET – Holger Rune (21) has battled well against Matteo Berrettini (28) to produce a superb display and knock the Italian out in four sets to earn his progression into the next round. The Danish 13th seed won the contest 7-6(3), 2-6, 6-3, 7-6(6).

Meanwhile, Lorenzo Sonego (29) won in five sets to down hard-hitting Joao Fonseca (18), edging past the Brazilian 6-7(6), 6-1, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3.

Elsewhere, seeded Katie Boulter (28) is out of the Australian Open, losing 7-6(3), 2-6, 6-2 to Veronika Kudermetova (27).

09:49 CET – A seed has fallen in Melbourne. After a five-set battle, Frances Tiafoe (26) has been dumped out by Hungary’s Fabian Marozsan (25) 6-7(3), 6-4, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1.

09:19 CET – On the women’s side of the draw, the Monfils – Svitolina household is celebrating once again as Elina Svitolina (30) is through thanks to a domineering 6-1, 6-4 victory over American Caroline Dolehide (26).

09:03 CET – Our first five-set thriller of the day has come to an end as Marcos Giron (31) has seen off Tomas Martin Etcheverry (25) 7-5, 3-6, 7-5, 3-6, 6-4.

08:22 CET – Alex Michelsen (20) continued his impressive start to the season with a convincing three-set win over James McCabe (21).

The American dismantled the home favourite 7-5, 6-3, 7-6(4).

08:00 CET – Corentin Moutet (25) is through to the third round at the Australian Open, after the Frenchman dispatched Mitchell Krueger (31) in four sets 4-6, 6-4, 7-6(3), 6-4, setting up a potential clash with Daniil Medvedev (28).

07:00 CET – It’s been a superb outing from 15th seed Beatriz Haddad Maia (28) in Melbourne as the Brazilian dismantled Erika Andreeva (20) 6-2, 6-3 to advance into the next round.

05:48 CET – Alex De Minaur (25) has just swept Tristan Boyer (23) in straight sets 6-2, 6-4, 6-3. The Demon continues his run and is now advancing to the third round of the Australian Open for the sixth time in his career. Minaur dominated across the board in both points won and games won, with Boyer putting up 34 unforced errors.

05:45 CET – Taylor Fritz (27) just bested Cristian Garin (28) 6-2, 6-1, 6-0. The American continues to roll after racking up 24 winners to Garin’s nine while winning all 11 of his service games. Garin put up 32 unforced errors and just two aces. Only tennis legends Rafael Nadal (4) and Roger Federer (6) have dropped fewer games to advance to round three of the Australian Open.

05:35 CET – Lorenzo Musetti (22) has now beat Denis Shapovalov (25) 7-6, 7-6, 6-2 and continues his career-best Australian Open to date. The 15 double faults and 62 unforced errors from Shapovalov proved to be the cornerstone of his downfall in this match.

04:46 CET – Elena Rybakina (25) beats Iva Jovic (17) in straight sets 6-0, 6-3 to advance to the third round, a year removed from losing in round two of the Australian Open in which she lost in the longest tiebreak in Slam history. Jovic failed to hit home an ace and was dominated in total games won, winning only three of 15.

03:53 CET – Emma Navarro just beat Xiyu Wang 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 after overcoming a 2-4 deficit in the third set. Both only put up one ace throughout the match but Wang’s 39 unforced errors proved costly. This now marks the second year in a row that Navarro has defeated Wang in three sets at the Australian Open.

02:58 CET – Miomir Kecmanovic (25) just delivered a stunner after upsetting Hubert Hurkacz (27) in straight sets 6-4, 6-4, 6-2. Despite 14 aces to Kecmanovic’s six, Hurkacz’s six double faults and possible injury after a medical timeout made it tough to bounce back in the first upset of the night.

02:45 CET – World’s number two Iga Swiatek (23) just made quick work of Rebecca Sramkova (28) after beating her 6-0, 6-2 in just 61 minutes. This now marks Swiatek’s sixth-straight Australian Open round three appearance and now boosts her 2025 record to 6-1.

02:19 CET – Daria Kasatkina (27) advances to her third Australian Open round three after just beating Yafan Wang (30) 6-2, 6-0.
