Among the reports offered, journalists were interested in the story of Anne, a 53-year-old woman who was the victim of an online scammer. For a year and a half, the interior designer spoke with a man pretending to be Brad Pitt.
With numerous inflammatory messages, photo montages, false proof of his identity, screenshots of emails and text messages and even a fake television news, the scammer, claiming hospitalization, kidney cancer or even a bowel wash, managed to extract a total of 830,000 euros from him. “He would send me photos and when I searched, I didn’t see them. So, I said to myself: “These are photos he took for me” »she explains in the report. When the “fake” Brad Pitt proposed to her, she decided to divorce her husband and received 775,000 euros. And it is finally during the summer of 2024, upon discovering that the “real” Brad Pitt is in a relationship with Inès de Ramon, that Anne understands the deception.

The mother, who attempted suicide three times, lost everything, sold her house and furniture, and is staying with a friend on Reunion Island. According to the report from “Sept à Eight”, Anne is currently hospitalized in a clinic specializing in serious depression.

“Oh dear, I’m crying. No, but have you seen the montages? He's like that, he's not the same guy. No I'm crying, I'm sorry but ma'am, really, love makes you blind, it's not possible”she continues before concluding: “And how is the billionaire husband now that you left?”
