Brazilian tennis is booming, but are you ready to take advantage of the wave?

Podcast 206 is a historical document.
It shows without any retouching the condition of tennis in Brazil (unintentionally).
With a new administration taking over, continuing an eight-year administration (Westrupp), no (concrete) plan is offered, everything is always about suggestions and ideas (the popular one, I’ll see if it works).
As it was a single ticket, elected by acclamation, it should have projects ready (to be posted on the biggest tennis website in Brazil, by one of its vice presidents) to make the sport effective and seek its massification (which will take years, but it needs to start).
Thinking that João Fonseca will be the driving force of tennis is somewhat naive, especially because João is not yet a top ten player (he could be, but he is not).
Not to mention, Fonseca is not the result of the CBT structure (just like Guga, who was the result of a family and an obstinate coach).
There is no project related to physical education teachers in public schools (they are like medicine promoters, they visit doctors, present the medicine, leave some free samples and make the medicine popular, without any advertising in the media).
There is no talent prospecting “team” in Brazil (Dalcim comments with Marcelo Meyer), something extremely important, even to take advantage of former sports professionals (professionals who end up “selling” their expertise in clinics, club coaches, floor representatives of courts and tournament staff and other peripheral businesses).
A training center (something similar to the Voley Development Center in Saquarema in Rio) should exist, offering a complete structure for polishing future promises.
Always remember, tennis is an Olympic sport, CBT receives public funds and should offer a concrete project to popularize the sport.
João Fonseca won’t solve anything, we already had a Slam-winning tennis player, number one in the world, a national idol.
Nothing happened.
Sorry about the brick.
