ZDF dominated the ratings charts at the start of the week: 7.78 million people watched a new “The Dead from Lake Constance” crime thriller during prime time, meaning the Mainz company had by far the highest reach of the day. It was also the most successful edition of the crime series since January 2022. The crime series set a record for ZDF in terms of market share, which was more than 30 percent for the first time ever. Specifically, 30.5 percent was measured.
And the “Toten vom Bodensee” was also very successful with young audiences, with 480,000 viewers between the ages of 14 and 49 ensuring a 9.8 percent market share. In this age group, ZDF only had to admit defeat to RTL in primetime, where “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” 560,000 young viewers and 13.2 percent. The quiz show’s total reach was 2.92 million.
Meanwhile, ZDF also had success with “SOKO Potsdam”: 3.10 million people saw the start of the season the evening before, which corresponded to an 18.1 percent market share of the total audience. And RTL also did very well with its series the evening before: “Everything that counts” and “GZSZ” were 14.2 and 16.2 percent in the classic target group. For both series, it was the most successful edition in several weeks.
Meanwhile, “Hard but Fair” reported back in the first in the evening – a little earlier than originally planned due to the federal election (DWDL.de reported). 2.19 million people tuned in, giving the station a 9.1 percent market share. This is a respectable result, especially given the preliminary program; “Our Mountains” previously had 1.98 million viewers or 7.7 percent. Louis Klamroth achieved at least 7.5 percent among 14 to 49 year olds. However, the station’s “Daily Topics” achieved the highest reach after 8:15 p.m., with a total of 2.20 million viewers accounting for 12.2 percent. A very good 11.7 percent was also measured among younger people.
