The Prime Minister, François Bayrou, will deliver his general policy speech to the National Assembly this Tuesday, January 14. To avoid censorship, the leader of the Modem party could well announce the suspension of the pension reform. Suspension or not, Manuel Bompard, the deputy and coordinator of La France insoumise, guest on RTL, declared that he would vote for censure.
“A suspension (of the pension reform) is an illusion. If, as was revealed in the press a few days ago, it is a question of saying that the pension reform could be suspended in 2026 provided that there is a new reform in 2025… I want to say suspension, idiot trap“, he said.
The member of La France insoumise from Marseille denounces a budget modeled on that of the previous government. “It’s the same budget as Michel Barnier’s, only worse”he assures. To get the finance bill voted on as quickly as possible, François Bayrou is leaving the Barnier government. The “funnel rule” prevents him from being able to change everything.
We will see who will vote and who will not vote for this motion of censure
Manuel Bompard
Manuel Bompard reaffirmed that his party would vote to censure the government of François Bayrou, regardless of the content of the general policy speech.
“I announce to you that we are going to propose to all the deputies of the New Popular Front that they wish to sign this motion of censure, then we will see who will vote and who will not vote for this motion of censure“, declares the coordinator of La France insoumise.
“It is obvious that the parliamentarians elected on the label of the New Popular Front who will not vote on the motion of censure will have broken with the New Popular Front precisely because the NFP was constituted as an alternative to the policies of Emmanuel Macron and not to guarantee its continuity,” he continues.
