Algarrunners honored at the anniversary of the Algarve Athletics Association

On January 10th, the Algarve Athletics Association celebrated 62 years of existence, together with all sports agents

The celebration of the 62nd anniversary took place at the Regional delegation of the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth, with the presence of the agents of the sport who stood out most during the 2023/2024 season, the clubs affiliated to the AAALG and the partner entities during the demanding sports season.

By tradition, AAALG recognizes on this occasion the sports agents who stood out the most during the previous season, with annual awards.

Algarrunners, Associação Desportiva de Corrida do Algarve was honored as runner-up in the Algarve Long Trail Regional Circuit, organized by AAALG last season, having obtained 2nd place collectively among 16 Algarve teams.

The results of the following team athletes were also recognized:
• Marta Faria – 2nd place in the F45 category
• Lina Assis Lopes – 1st in the F50 category
• Cláudio Lourenço – 3rd in the M35 category
• Joaquim Palma – 3rd in the M40 category
• Diamantino Gomes – 1st in the M45 category
• Francisco Guerreiro – 2nd in the M50 category
• César Francisco – 2nd in the M55 category
• Manuel Soares – 3rd in the M55 category
