The GDR singer, who was honored with the lifetime achievement award that evening, performed a medley of his best-known hits, including “Like a Star” and “Come on, we paint a sun”. But during his performance, a spectacular pyrotechnic show was fired, which apparently did not remain without consequences.
As “Schlager.de” reports, the pyrotechnics caused injuries to the dancers. “Some dancers sustained minor burns,” the magazine quoted a production employee as saying.

It appears that, fortunately, the pyrotechnics accident did not have any serious medical consequences for the dancers. “Fortunately, no medical attention was necessary; Cold compresses were enough to treat the injuries,” the employee told “Schlager.de”.
