The Manoir Kernault, located in the town of Mellac (Finistère) caught fire this Sunday, January 12, 2025 in the morning. A little more than 70 firefighters are mobilized. No injuries were reported.

A fire broke out this Sunday, January 12, 2025 in the morning at Manoir de Kernault in Mellac, in Finistère. There were no injuries since the Manor, property of the Departmental Council, was not occupied.

According to emergency services, the fire started from the roof of this historic monument, which was undergoing work. Many means are on site to try to extinguish the flames. 73 firefighters according to the Prefecture.

At 12:30 p.m. the intervention was still in progress.
