AS FAR welcomes, this Saturday, January 11 at the Stade d’Honneur in Meknes, Raja de Casablanca as part of the fifth and penultimate day of the group stage of the Champions League.

The meeting was sold out, with a massive presence, but only supporters of the Military, those of the Greens having been banned from traveling to Meknes.

The stakes are high. Indeed, it is for AS FAR, needing only one point, to punch their ticket for the quarter-finals, while Raja absolutely needs to win to hope to continue the adventure.

The match of the year?

As a reminder, AS FAR leads group B with 8 points at the end of the 4th day. Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa) is second with 5 units. Followed by Raja de Casablanca and Maniema Union (DR Congo) who have 4 and 3 points respectively.

During the pre-match conference, the coaches of the two respective clubs, Hubert Velud and Hafid Abdessadek, displayed their ambitions. Recognizing that it will not be a simple game of pleasure, they nevertheless affirmed that they are seeking victory.

Which promises a major showdown and which could be the one of the year. Furthermore, we will also follow with great interest the Maniema Union-Mamelodi Sundowns match, scheduled for 2 p.m. (Moroccan time).

The AS FAR-Raja duel will be led by Egyptian referees, with Mohamed Maarouf in the center, assisted by his compatriots Ahmed Hossam Taha and Samir Jamal. Mahmoud Naji, for his part, will be the fourth referee.
