The Furiani stadium was sold out last night. The SCB – ACA derby, unsurprisingly, attracted supporters from all over Corsica, despite the violent wind which had been blowing over the region since the day before.

No announcement had been made to consider a possible postponement of the meeting. So the supporters wanted to believe it.

Unfortunately, at the start of the evening, the situation seemed to be going badly. The squalls do not abate, and a few minutes before kick-off, scheduled for 8 p.m., it is announced that the latter will be postponed to 8:45 p.m., a normal procedure in the event of unfavorable weather conditions.

However, on the supporters’ side, we know perfectly well that nothing guarantees the match will take place, apart from a miraculous divine intervention which would suddenly bring down the wind which sweeps the lawn and the stands.

The derby will not be played, but will be postponed to the next day, Saturday January 11, at 2 p.m., causing the disappointment and annoyance of the supporters, some of whom had traveled from very far away.

This postponement required numerous adjustments. We’ll give you a list:

Finally, as could be expected, the Haute-Corse prefecture extended the ban on individual or collective travel of “any supporter of the ACA or behaving as such between the municipalities of the Corse-du-Sud department and the municipalities of Furiani and Bastia for the entire day of January 11.”
