Best result of the season for Gstrein
The best Austrian is Fabio Gstrein, the Ötztaler achieved by far his best result of the season with fifth place (+1.25).
With Michael Matt in ninth place (+1.59), a second ÖSV athlete ends up in the top ten.
Johannes Strolz is down three places in the final to 15th place (+2.14).
Marco Schwarz continues to struggle in his comeback season and can’t get past 25th place after two faulty runs.
Prominent failures

Atle Lie McGrath (NOR) is eliminated in the first run with an interim best time like last time as the half-time leader in Madonna. Local hero Loic Meillard, who started with the red jersey, and Samuel Kolega (CRO), third in Madonna, also join in.
