After the first run it doesn’t look like a Swiss slalom podium place in Adelboden. Hopeful Loïc Meillard is leading the way, the best Swiss is Daniel Yule in 10th place.
The Austrian Manuel Feller is in the lead, he is 25 hundredths faster than the German Linus Strasser. Third is the Frenchman Clement Noel.
Behind Daniel Yule there will be a Swiss trio in the second run: Tanguy Nef (+2.28), Luca Aerni (+2.29) and Marc Rochat (+2.44) all lose a lot of time. Noel von Grünigen clearly missed the second run. Before the race
The change in the racing program in Adelboden did not harm the mood. Fans arrive in droves in the Bernese Oberland early on Saturday morning. Trychler from the Säntis area also creates a great atmosphere (video below).
Even the snowfall doesn’t put ski fans in a good mood. Striking: Many fans speak French and are particularly excited about Slalom World Cup leader Loïc Meillard.

Nau.ch takes you on the chair lift
There was fresh snow again in Adelboden before the races. In the Nau.ch chairlift video from Friday morning you can see that the organizers’ decision to postpone the race was the right one…
Race postponement causes fan anger
The World Cup races in Adelboden at the weekend swap places. Fans who travel specifically for Marco Odermatt will therefore have to reschedule – the man from Nidwalden will only be traveling on Sunday.
Although this weather-related measure makes sense, it is causing dissatisfaction among many ski fans. Under the Instagram post from the Adelboden World Cup there are comments like: “Scandal” and “Ticket fraud”.
Nau.ch sports director Christoph Böhlen has a different opinion. You can read his comment here.
