Alicia, former emblematic participant of Married at first sightwill not join the cast of M6’s new dating show. Although she had agreed to participate, an event in her personal life caused her to change her plans. During an interview with Tele-Leisureshe explained the reasons for this change of heart.
For some time now, M6 is working on a new dating show intended for former candidates of Married at first sight who remained single after their time on television. The cast will include figures well known to viewers, such as Ludivine, Marie, Jefferson and Cécile, all ready to try their luck again to find love. Alicia, former emblematic participant of Married at first sight et well known to the public in relation to her relationship with Bruno, had agreed to participate in this new dating show from M6. But ultimately, the young woman will not join her.
And she is not the first candidate to cancel for personal reasons to the detriment of a television adventure. During the last season of Married at first sightCamille had canceled her wedding after meeting a man outside the show. A decision which turned out to be the right one, since the young woman is still in a relationship with the man who disrupted her television plans.
“I have been contacted”: Alicia canceled his participation in the show for personal reasons
Alicia, who made an impression during her union with Bruno in the sixth season of Married at first sightwas also approached to participate. Enthusiastic about embarking on this new adventure, she agreed. But his life took an unexpected turn.
“I was contacted”, she reveals. “I had accepted the participation, except that I met my darling three days later. I had not yet signed the contract!” The young woman then informed production of her change in situation and her choice to withdraw: “I called production and said I couldn’t participate since I met someone. They were very happy for me.“
Alicia’s choice dictated by love and experience
Alicia chose to prioritize this new budding relationship rather than try her luck again on a television show. With its experience in Married at first sightwhere her marriage had unfortunately failed, she preferred to let fate guide her this time.
“I said to myself: ‘well, it’s going to be speed dating on TV, so maybe I’m taking a risk of not giving the budding relationship I had just had a chance’. So, I decided said: ‘it doesn’t matter’. Anyway, it’s just a TV show. I’ve already had a failure. So, I said to myself, why not let life happen and give. a chance to this person I just met.”
