The grove snail is the animal of the year 2025. According to the Nature conservation organization Pro Natura promote a respectful approach to the biodiversity beneath our feet.
The snail is part of the enormous variety of creatures that break down organic material and add it to the soil, Pro Natura wrote in a statement on Friday. This makes her a “soil maker”.
