In the name of tradition, this year too the Carabinieri della Biodiversity will organize a special day: many children hospitalized in hospitals throughout Italy will receive gifts and attention, in the hope that knowledge and love for nature will also help to overcome this difficult period
This year too, the Forestry Carabinieri will be at the forefront of organizing the “Epiphany of Biodiversity”, a special day of environmental education and solidarity. More than 100 Carabinieri will be present in the departments of 44 hospital facilities throughout Italy as well as family homes, bringing with them a symbol of nature and hope aimed at hospitalized children and healthcare personnel working in the wards during the Epiphany and in the days preceding the 6th January, visiting over 1200 children.
Gadgets such as notebooks, pencils, hats, paints, canvas backpacks or playing cards will be delivered to alleviate the pain of the young patients and images and sensations regarding the knowledge of biodiversity will be shared, to allow a virtual “contact” with nature.
The objective is to convey to children the knowledge and love for Nature, telling the extraordinary world of the 150 State Nature Reserves and State Forests managed by the Carabinieri Biodiversity Group: exceptional habitats where animal and plant species of rare beauty survive.
In Potenza the Carabinieri will go to the “San Carlo” Hospital, where the event has been successfully promoted for several years now, also thanks to the support of hospital staff who have always supported the initiative with great enthusiasm. This Epiphany will also be characterized by love for the environment and solidarity.
