Andrew Garfield is clearing the air about those rumors that he’s set to appear alongside Tom Holland in Spider-Man 4.
The 41-year-old actor famously played Peter Parker, Marvel’s favorite web-slinging hero, in 2012′s The Amazing Spider-Man and its 2014 sequel. Years later, he reprised the role alongside Tom in 2021′s Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Following confirmation that Tom was suiting up again for another outing as the hero, rumors circulating that Andrew would be by his side. He cleared the air during a recent interview.

“I’m gonna disappoint you,” Andrew told GQ when asked if was appearing in the movie. “Yeah, no. But I know no one’s gonna trust anything I say from now on.”
Of course, this is a reference to the fact that Andrew had to lie about his cameo in No Way Home for months ahead of the film’s premiere.
He added that he isn’t opposed to the idea of doing more work with a franchise like Marvel.
“If it felt in line with my soul and was gonna be fun. Maybe I’m gonna have like five kids at some point, and I’m gonna need to start saving up for the school tuition or something,” he said.
Andrew previously revealed how playing the iconic character “scared” him.
