On January 8, 2024, TF1 embarked on a new television adventure by launching its own morning show called Bonjour !. A major challenge in the face of already well-established competition like Telematin on 2 – large leader in the box with 690,000 viewers on average, or 23.4% audience share -, BFMTV but also CNews. If since the start of the school year, the TF1 morning show has brought together around 305,000 faithful (9.6% of the public) for each issue, the beginnings of the show were a little complicated. After starting in front of 512,000 viewers (15.3%), the audiences were struggling a little a few weeks later with around 279,000 curious people watching. Bonjour !.

Almost a year after the launch of the morning show and a “positive” assessment, Bruce Toussaint was interviewed by Tele-Leisure on these rumors of dissension in his gang at the start of the adventure. “I didn’t feel any particular tension”he said. “Everyone understood perfectly. We are all in the same boat basically and it’s a reality”continued the presenter who is pleased to be today the “third morning in terms of viewers”. And to add: “We lived these first months in a very united way with kindness. I am very happy that all this was managed and accepted by the team.” His desire for 2025? Reach second place on the podium. “This is the goal we set for ourselves, with no time limit. It’s a long-term job but I’m not in a hurry”concluded Bruce Toussaint, confident for the year to come.
