Ange Postecoglou could be forced to start a Tottenham player who isn’t fully fit against Wolves in the Premier League on Sunday.

Postecoglou is under a lot of pressure heading into the clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 29 December and could make three changes as a result.

Radu Drăgușin was expected to be one of those changes after Postecoglou’s injury update on Friday (27 December).

However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – thinks the Romanian will still start against Wolves on Sunday.

“Postecoglou has some really big decisions to make,” Wenham said.

“It sounds like from what he said in his press conference that they’re going to make Drăgușin play through this injury, in my opinion. That might be necessary because we really are at the bare bones.

“The squad is playing every few days, and we’re suffering from that.”

Radu Drăgușin to start for Tottenham v Wolves?

There has been a lot of speculation as to who would start in place of Drăgușin against Wolves, with supporters blasting Postecoglou’s “pathetic” plans.

However, it seems as though Wenham is confident that the centre-back will be available for selection, which would be a huge boost.

Under ordinary circumstances, Postecoglou would no doubt want to allow Drăgușin to rest. However, these aren’t ordinary circumstances, with Spurs continuing to suffer injury blow after injury blow.

Therefore, if Postecoglou has to play the Romanian through injury, that could be exactly what he does.

After all, his Tottenham future might depend on this match, and the 59-year-old won’t want to leave anything to chance.

In other Tottenham news, one player could demand a January move after a recent transfer update.
