Atalanta stops against Lazio and interrupts the streak of consecutive victories: Mancini’s Inter remains the best in history.
In order to beat, or at least equalize, Inter’s historic 2006/2007 record (the season immediately following Calciopoli), Atalanta would have had to overcome three direct clashes as well as matches that were decidedly more feasible on paper. Unfortunately for the Nerazzurri fans, Atalanta stopped at the first match: against Lazio the opportunity to dream of overtaking Inter disappeared.
Not really something essential on a general level, but just a status that could have given more confidence to a team that, despite the defeat at the Olimpico, will continue to fight for the Scudetto for as long as possible. Meanwhile, the possibility of becoming statistical history has disappeared, but most fans don’t care. As normal as it is.
Atalanta was stopped after eleven games with only one result: the victory. At the Olimpico he tried, but he was facing a team that hadn’t experienced similar enthusiasm for years, on the wings of enthusiasm.

An eagle towards the sky of glory despite the draw against Atalanta, eager to no longer be the one from the I would like but I can’t, but simply the one from the I can and I will succeed. The draw does not satisfy either of them, while it certainly gives Inter, Napoli, Fiorentina, Juventus and perhaps Milan a calmer Saturday.
