2nd run at 1 p.m
The Italian Brignone took the half-time lead on the “panoramic slope” with her usual attacking run. On the course set by her coach Giorgio Pavoni, she beat the competition by 15 hundredths or more.
Lara Gut-Behrami came closest to the winner from Sölden. The 33-year-old from Ticino showed great improvement compared to the giant slalom in Killington and has her sights set on her 46th World Cup victory after half the time. Sara Hector is classified in 3rd intermediate place. The leader in the discipline ranking lost 24 hundredths to Brignone.
Camille Rast, who has recently been in strong form, showed a cautious run. The overall leader and third from Killington was only able to keep up in the top section of the route. After that, she continued to lose time and was 1.88 seconds behind at the finish. Wendy Holdener was around two tenths behind Rast. Like her teammate, the Schwyz woman was quick at the top, but lost a lot of time afterwards.
Simone Wild also made it into the second run. The 31-year-old is 2.45 seconds behind in 24th place. Vanessa Kaspar (37th), Stefanie Grob (41st) and Janine Schmitt (54th) missed the final of the best 30 drivers. Delphine Darbellay was eliminated, as was Mélanie Meillard. (ram/sda)

HC Fribourg-Gottéron has never been Swiss champion and is not yet making a masterful impression this season. But perhaps Freiburg will benefit from the Spengler Cup momentum.
In Davos, Gottéron made an excellent impression in his first two appearances against top European teams – 2:3 against Pardubice and 6:4 against Kärpät Oulu.
