“Eco-friendly bobos”
A decision described as “stupid, dogmatic and punitive” by Hervé Féron on his social networks.
The mayor of Tomblaine considers “that it will firstly burden artisans and SMEs, already so weakened by taxes and various charges. Subsequently, those punished will be individuals. But only the poorest who own the oldest vehicles because, at 1is January 2028, this ban will be extended to light vehicles classified Crit'Air 5 or not classified. And the eco-bobos will not hesitate to cynically tell them that they will always be able to ride a bike or walk.”
The former MP also refers to studies “which demonstrate the ineffectiveness of this type of measure, insignificant in terms of the fight against pollution or greenhouse gases”.
He defends an approach based on “incentives and support which have always been more effective than punishment”.
He puts forward proposals in the face of a strategy that he considers “incoherent” on the part of the Metropolis and the State.
Idea of an interconnection platform
Hervé Féron: “An interconnection platform would be necessary and urgent in Tomblaine on the site of the former fire station, but they did not allow it. It was planned to create a park and ride facility for motorists coming from the east of the city to prevent them from entering Nancy with their vehicle and thus using public transport. This platform must allow the interconnection between these vehicles, the high level of service bus, with a station in the same location, and also serve the interconnection with the Urbanloop line and with all the network of soft paths which is planned on the Plaine Flageul. It was planned for Tomblaine in 2026. But, due to a lack of will and responsibility, everything is delayed. »
“Unequal treatment”
Another battleground for the local elected official: opening up the Sonia-Huguet cycle path, and its junction with the cycle path from Art-sur-Meurthe.
“Without this logical continuity which will allow Tomblainois to cycle to Nancy, the ZFE makes no sense,” thinks Hervé Féron. It was promised to us at the start of this mandate which is almost over, but the studies have not started. So it was a lie. Other choices were made elsewhere. There is unequal treatment in the territory of the Metropolis. We develop sector-based proactive policies based on the political support that we can find here and there. »
“Those who prevent the development of Tomblaine”
Faced with “postures far removed from an intelligence serving the public interest”, Hervé Féron claims “manager experience”, while recalling the eco-citizen project launched in Tomblaine several years ago for a greener and more virtuous city .
The latest act to date, the citizen mobilization which allowed the planting of the microforest near the Marcel-Picot stadium and the obtaining of the Marianne d'Or for sustainable development, a national award awarded to mayors.
“Excellent news, less for my personal ego, more because it was the thousands of residents who participated in this plantation who deserved it. This will perhaps demonstrate to those who have been preventing the development of Tomblaine for so long that our project makes sense. »
