Under contract until June 30, 2026 with Nasser Al-Khelaïfi's PSG, Nuno Mendes was in discussions with his management in recent weeks, to extend. However, the two sides failed to find common ground. While Nuno Mendes would have refused all proposals from PSG, the negotiations would have been stopped.

During the summer of 2021, the PSG did what was necessary to complete the signing of Nuno Mendes. In fact, the capital club has reached an agreement with the Sporting to complete the loan with option to purchase the Portuguese international. After spending around €7M for the first year of Nuno Mendes has ParisPSG activated its €38M clause to keep him permanently.

Mendes refused all offers from PSG
