It’s confirmed that Juventus captain Danilo won’t be available for a Serie A game against Monza this evening, so USMNT midfielder Weston McKennie is expected to start as a left-back.
Several sources, including Juventus expert Romeo Agresti, report that Juventus defender Danilo won’t be available for an away game at Monza this evening.
The experienced defender did not join the rest of the team in Monza on Saturday, as doctors needed to reassess his ankle after he suffered a minor injury.
Juventus lose Danilo for Monza game as McKennie set to start
This morning’s tests confirmed that Danilo is not even fit to go on the bench, so he won’t be available at the U-Power Stadium.
Jonas Rouhi is also injured, while Andrea Cambiaso is available but not fit to start. Therefore, American midfielder McKennie will likely get the nod at left-back against Monza.
McKennie covered the same position in Juventus’ latest competitive match against Cagliari in Coppa Italia.
Juventus are unbeaten in Serie A, but have collected ten draws in the opening 16 rounds.
