Maïté, her real name Marie-Thérèse Ordonezdied on the night of Friday December 20 to Saturday December 21 at the age of 86, RTL learned, confirming information from the site actu.fr.
She is a restaurateur and broadcast presenter born in Rion-des-Landes on June 2, 1938. Maïté, however, began her career far from the kitchen. As an announcer for the SNCF, her mission is to alert of the passage of trains using her trumpet.
But cooking remains his passion. She already cooked for the players of the Rion-des-Landes rugby team before becoming famous. It was a sports report in 1983 that allowed him to devote himself fully to his passion. From 1983 to 1987, Maïté hosted the culinary show The Kitchen of the Musketeers with Micheline Banzet-Lawton. She opened her first restaurant in 1988.
From 1995 to 1999, she presented another cult culinary show, At the table. Her notoriety will also lead her to host shows on South Radio. In 1995, the host even got the title role in the film The Fabulous Destiny of Madame Petlet.
