On the set of At Jordan’sJean-Marie Bigard gave news of his fight against alcoholism. Lola Marois’ companion admitted that before being treated, he could consume up to two liters of wine per day. After a year of abstention, the comedian confides that he succumbed again: “I went a year without drinking a drop of alcohol and then I said to myself ‘I can’t imagine a meal without drinking wine.’ I said to myself: ‘I’m going to do what one should never do’, that is to say, I drank a glass of wine at lunchtime and a glass of wine in the evening, to have the taste of wine in my mouth”, he explains. But the addiction to the taste of alcohol was too strong: “It worked for a few months then, after that, it went wrong and my quantities started to increase. If you start with the idea of one drink at lunchtime, one drink in the evening, it doesn’t work because suddenly one drink turns into two…”, he continues on the set of C8. He confides about his addiction: “My friend Renaud, the singer, one day spoke to me about this and told me ‘My wife told me if you want you can have another drink at the table’. He told her ‘One drink is too many and twelve is not enough’. That’s exactly what being an alcoholic is.“.
