Aveyron and 14 other departments will switch to snow alert from Thursday evening, an update on the forecasts.

The weather gets worse at the end of the week due to depression “Dionisio” which will bring significant gusts of wind and precipitation, while temperatures cool down. From Thursday December 19, 2024, in the early evening, 15 departments will be placed on yellow alert: Aveyron, Cantal, Creuse, Corrèze, Puy-de-Dôme, , Haute-Loire, Ardèche, Drôme, Rhône, Ain, Isère, Hautes -Alps, Savoie and Haute-Savoie.

In Aveyron, snowflakes are expected on the heights of Aubrac from 700-800 meters above sea level, according to the Météo Sud-Aveyron channel. Snow is expected to fall from Thursday night to Friday. A few flakes may also affect the Salles-Curan and Sévérac-d’Aveyron sectors according to Météo France forecasts. A mixture of rain and snow could fall in , only overnight.
