Speaking into the club’s microphones Gerard Yepesmidfielder of Sampdoriacommented on the performance of the team’s Blucerchiati at the end of the match Italian Cup against the Roma. These are his words:
PERFORMANCE – «I think we were penalized a lot in the first minutes, also due to some errors on our part, which we need to work on. Then when the staff decided to change formation and line up differently we were ourselves: we got along well on the pitch and the positions were better covered. The coach gave us the confidence we needed, and after these changes we managed to do something more.»
SIMPLE – «He explained to us the main aspects of his playing style, but without telling us too many things so as not to cause confusion. Then, as the weeks go by we will add new principles. Now, however, he is giving us a lot of confidence, he makes us feel calm, and he is transmitting to us the first important concepts, on which we are working a lot.»
COUSIN GOAL – «I made my debut in this stadium, and today I scored my first goal with the first team: it was a very nice feeling, also because doing it in the visitors’ sector I was able to dedicate the goal to the fans as a thank you for coming to support us as always. It gives me a lot of confidence to move forward and, together with my teammates, get out of this situation to aim for our true goal.”
