In 2021, after twelve long years of waiting, fans of Kaamelott were finally able to discover the first part of the coveted trilogy. Taking place several years after the season 6 finale, the feature film Kaamelott: First Part sees Arthur Pendragon return to the Kingdom of Brittany. Initially reluctant to regain power, the sovereign ended up defeating Lancelot du Lac and his band of conspirators and traitors, by allying himself with Léodagan de Carmelide and the Burgundians. Both funny and melancholy, the film attracted more than 2,600,000 spectators in the midst of Covid-19.
This Wednesday, December 18, 2024, a few days before Christmas, Alexandre Astier revealed the official release date of Kaamelott: Second Partwhich will indeed be divided into two films in the manner of Kill Bill by Quentin Tarantino. The Lyonnais took the opportunity to unveil the first two images of the feature film. The film therefore becomes one of the most coveted projects of the year 2025.
