In a press release published a few minutes after the announcement of this decision, the sixty-year-old repeated his « innocence »pointing a “profound injustice”.
On Instagram, his wife Carla Bruni, who has constantly defended him for twelve years, immediately relayed his speech on her account. Already in 2021, she had shown all her support for her husband on the social network with a strong message: “What insane relentlessness my love… the fight continues, the truth will come to light. » If Nicolas Sarkozy says today “take responsibility”he also announces that he will refer the matter to the European Court of Human Rights.
