Update
HALFTIME! Real Madrid leads 1-0 against Pachua in the Intercontinental Cup. The Mexicans got off to a furious start and created a few chances. The Royals, on the other hand, took a long time to really get into the game. Shortly before half-time it was a strong team performance from Bellingham and Vinicius, who assisted Mbappe for the only goal. The Madrilenians want to win the final, and they show it clearly. Will it be decided quickly after the break?
43. Real dominates the game here and hardly lets Pachuca out of their own half. Will the lead remain narrow before the half-time whistle?
39. Now there’s something going on here! Just a few seconds later, Real captured the ball and passed Vinicius again, who then played to Valverde on the other side. The Uruguayan shoots powerfully from a tight angle, but then misses the shot clearly.
39. Almost 2-0! After the restart it’s back to Vinicius and Mbappe. The Frenchman then tries from a distance and narrowly misses the second goal.
37. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL DEL REAL MADRID! And then it’s not only quick, but also royal! Vinicius is sent on his way by Bellingham and then casually dances past the goalkeeper. His pass into the six-yard box finds Mbappe perfectly, who makes it 1-0 for Los Blancos.
35. That looked painful! Rüdiger and his opponent Deossa clash heads in an aerial duel, but both get back up after a short treatment.
33. After a bad pass from Camavinga, things happen quickly for Pachuca. Rondon then just tries it from around 20 meters, but the shot is too safe for Courtois.
26. The Royals are now moving up a gear and are repeatedly dangerous in front of the Mexican goal. Goalkeeper Carlos Moreno has not yet been properly tested.
22. Real are now trying to move forward more, but without finishing. Pachuca has defended well and aggressively so far.
16. The better team in this initial phase is definitely Pachuca. Real are not yet finding their way into the game and have big problems both in defense and in attack.
12. Now the Madrilenians have woken up and are almost getting their first chance. After a Vinicius cross, an opponent got the ball in time and clarified the situation.
11. Almost the 1-0 lead for Pachuca! Idrissi finishes after a strong dribble in the penalty area, but a Real defender blocks the shot. Real Madrid was very lucky again.
9. And Courtois is there again! Bautista is sent on his way, but can no longer get to the ball in the six-yard box because the Real goalkeeper is out in time.
7. The first shot on goal belongs to the Mexicans! Rodriguez simply takes a shot from a distance and forces Courtois to make his first save.
5. It’s a quiet start here in Doha. Both teams are feeling their way around a little, Real has a little more possession of the ball.
1st kick off! Real Madrid plays the first half in the white jerseys from left to right.
BEFORE KICK-OFF: The two teams are ready. It’s about to finally start.
LINEUP PACHUCA: Carlos Moreno, Sergio Barreto, Andres Micolta, Bryan González, Luis Rodríguez, Pedro Pedraza, Nelson Deossa, Elias Montiel, Oussama Idrissi, Alan Bautista, Salomon Rondon.
REAL MADRID LINEUP: The starting eleven is official! This is how the Whites go into the final: Courtois – Vázquez, Tchouaméni, Rüdiger, García – Valverde, Camavinga – Bellingham – Rodrygo, Mbappé, Vinícius.
Bank: Lunin, González, Vallejo, Asencio, Aguado, Yusi, Ceballos, Modrić, Güler, Brahim, Endrick.
Conclusion: Ancelotti is more or less sending the current top eleven into the race – without captain Modrić and Ceballos, but with Camavinga in midfield for the first time after his injury. Mbappé is also straight back in the first eleven. At the back, Tchouaméni again defends inside instead of Asencio. It remains to be seen whether Los Blancos will play in a 4-2-3-1 or rather with a more defensive Bellingham in a 4-3-3 in the left half position (Camavinga centrally, Valverde half right). The storm youngsters Víctor Muñoz and Gonzalo García were removed from the squad at short notice.
STREAMS: Our Nils is also going live today – first the warmup on Instagram at 5:30 p.m., then the 3rd half on YouTube at around 8:45 p.m.
MOST SUCCESSFUL TRAINER: Carlo Ancelotti has a very special honor! With his fourth Club World Cup title, the Italian can not only draw level with record holder Pep Guardiola, but also finally make history for Los Blancos. Because he still shares first place with Miguel Muñoz as the coach with the most titles in Real Madrid’s history – both have 14, Ancelotti has 15!
PERSONAL: As expected stands Kylian Mbappé in Real Madrid’s squad for the Qatar final. Whether he will start against Pachuca is still questionable, but not impossible – the Frenchman took part in the final training session and, according to Ancelotti, feels fit. If there is no apparent risk, Real’s coach will probably start the star striker from the start. Five Canteranos will also be there in Qatar: Youssef Enriquez, Raúl Asencio, Lorenzo Aguado, Gonzalo García and Víctor Muñoz. Important: Also Vinícius Junior and Rodrygo GoesThose who had recently returned from injuries trained normally. The same applies to Jude Bellingham. Our starting eleven prediction? In the preview!
HELLO EVERYONE! Want to say goodbye with a title just before the New Year? Real Madrid has this opportunity at the FIFA Intercontinental Cup. The Royals are directly in the final by winning the Champions League and will now face Pachuca CF. In a dramatic semi-final on penalties, the Mexicans beat Egyptian club Al Ahly. Now there is the first of two meetings in a very short space of time, because Pachuca is also Real Madrid’s opponent in the new Club World Cup next summer of 2025. Before that, the Mexican top club wants to annoy the Madrilenians in what is essentially the old Club World Cup. Does that work? You can watch the final here from 6 p.m REAL TOTAL-Ticker and follow it on DAZN and for free on FIFA Plus.
