(Undated)–The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for parts of west central Minnesota from 6 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) through 6 p.m. Thursday evening. This will impact such communities in the area as Ashby, Barrett, Elbow Lake, Fergus Falls, and Detroit Lakes. The National Weather Service says heavy snow will be possible. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 7 inches are possible. In addition, the winds could gust as high as 35 mph which will make travel conditions hazardous.
