Factory closure: customers feel wronged after the liquidation of Mister Menuiserie

The DIY brand Mister Menuiserie has been placed in liquidation. Many customers find themselves trapped: they have received neither their orders nor a refund.
Christophe Schoenberg wanted to close the courtyard of his house, in Durrenentzen (Haut-Rhin). Since the summer, he has had no news from his portal. “We end up with 3,500 euros lost, plus the masonry work”he believes. He bought his equipment from Mister Menuiserie, a company specializing in doors, verandas and pergolas.
Attracted by an advantageous rate on August 31, he paid cash on August 31. “If we ordered right away, we would have a discount of more than 1,100 euros”he said.
The delivery was postponed several times, then Christophe Schoenberg learned that the company was threatened by judicial liquidation since December 4. Like him, several thousand customers are waiting for their orders: up to 10,000 euros for some. Around a hundred buyers filed a class action lawsuit.
Mister Menuiserie would have 80 million in debt. The company blames the end of Covid-19, price inflation and the drop in construction of individual houses.
