dates, places, outlets… Everything you need to know about the opening and what’s new

The Parcoursup platform opens this Wednesday, December 18 with several new features aimed at giving students more chances to find training. Candidates will be able to express their wishes from January 15.

Kick-off for Parcoursup. From this Wednesday, December 18, high school students will be able to consult on the orientation platform the approximately 23,000 training courses available in 2025. And for this new year, Parcoursup has acquired new functionalities, under the leadership of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.

Among them, an “identity card” for each course, information concerning training expectations and a new section on the professional integration rate. Students will be able to begin formulating their wishes from January 15, 2025 and until March 13, 2025.

Three new features this year

From now on, the orientation platform will present an “identity card” for each training course allowing all the necessary information to be found on a single sheet. Until now, the different characteristics relating to a training course were divided into several tabs.

Students will be able to find the status of the establishment (public, private under contract or not), the selective nature or not of the training, the number of places available or even the eligibility rules for scholarships.

In order to put all the chances on their side, candidates will have the opportunity to consult analysis reports on training expectations and the profile of admitted candidates. This new information will allow them to better target the criteria required for each training course.

Last development, and not the least, new data on professional integration rates will be available for 75% of training courses, in order to have a clear vision of job opportunities. This information was until now limited to BTS and professional licenses; they are extended to general licenses, agricultural BTS, engineering, business and management schools.

The main admission phase will begin on Monday June 2 and the classification of pending applications will take place between June 6 and 10 to allow a maximum of high school students to receive at least one admission offer before the written baccalaureate exams.
