Rúben Amorim is expected to reinstate Marcus Rashford as one of three changes to the Manchester United squad that faces Tottenham in the Carabao Cup.
Rúben Amorim faces his first domestic knockout challenge as Manchester United manager on Thursday evening, with his team set to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup.
United travel to North London buoyed by a sensational 2-1 comeback victory over Manchester City, where Amad Diallo‘s late brilliance secured a statement win at the Etihad.

While Amorim’s focus remains on the Premier League and Europa League, his side will be keen to maintain their momentum against an inconsistent Spurs outfit under Ange Postecoglou.
Tottenham, however, come into the clash full of confidence after a dominant 5-0 victory over Southampton at the weekend.
Three changes expected
Rúben Amorim will have to be forced into a few changes after injuries against Man City mean rotation will have to occur.
Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, and Jonny Evans were all left out of the travelling squad to the Etihad Stadium, but all three are expected to return as the team lead the charge to North London.
In terms of those who drop out, Mason Mount will be one following his 13th minute on the weekend, with the player set to be out for another period on the sidelines.
Noussair Mazraoui also had to be withdrawn after 78 minutes and was spotted limping as he exited the side’s changing room in front of the press at the Etihad.
Although the Moroccan international’s issue is only considered minor, after starting six of Amorim’s seven games in charge so far, he may be afforded rest as the side travel down South, with Evans coming in to replace him in defence.
Finally, in order to accommodate the third change, Christian Eriksen may be the final man to drop out of the squad. Eriksen has not featured under Amorim since his opening game in charge, against Ipswich, and is clearly well out of favour at the club.
The Danish international is set to depart once his contract expires in June 2025, but there is a chance he could leave in January. As he is clearly not in Amorim’s plans, it’s unlikely he will get much recognition ahead of others who need minutes in the team.
