Confederations Cup for Clubs: Real Madrid is still in control, according to Ancelotti

The coach of Real Madrid, the European champion, confirmed that his team is still in good shape and in control despite the fluctuation of its results recently, on the eve of the final of the Confederations Cup in football (Intercontinental) against Pachuca of Mexico at the Losail World Cup Stadium in Doha.

Ancelotti said on Tuesday in a press conference, “Playing the Intercontinental Cup final is a testament to our excellent performance last season… When you start the season, you want to be there, you want to play the final match… We will definitely try to win.”

Ancelotti explained in response to a question about losing control of his team and answered jokingly, “Are you asking me if I lost control? No, nothing like that. Real is still in a good position and in control before the second half of the season.”

He continued, “Our presence here means that we are European champions, and we have to finish last season, which was a very successful season for us and the club.”

Ancelotti’s words come in the midst of the Madrid giant’s uneven performance, as it occupies third place in the local championship standings and twentieth in the European Champions League competition.

Regarding the performance of French star Kylian Mbappe, the Meister replied: “He is an amazing player, but frankly I do not think he has reached his best levels. Despite that, I think he has improved in recent matches.”

He continued, “We are happy to have him here. He can occupy any position in the attack, whether on the left or the right, and this makes me very happy.”

Regarding the fluctuation in the team’s performance this season, he continued, “This happened due to the change in the lineup, and this is normal when the strategy in defense or the system in general changes. I am not completely happy, but I am satisfied with the team’s improvement in the recent period, because we went through a difficult period.” This is what makes the team mentally stronger.”

For his part, English player Jude Bellingham said, “We are happy to play this match. We want to continue strengthening Real Madrid’s legacy at the global level.”

He added, “Things are still the same in the clothing warehouse and the players trust each other, and we know exactly where we will be at the end of the season.”
