Who has the highest average viewership in Serie A? The 2024/25 championship is in full swing and, considering that we have now reached the sixteenth day of this edition of the tournament, it is possible to outline the spectator rankings among the clubs in the top flight with ever greater precision and reliability.
A figure that affects the financial statements of the companies, given that that of the “stadium revenues” remains one of the main items of the income statement together with television rights and commercial revenues, but which also concerns the distribution of revenues from television rights of the championship.
Until now Serie Aas a whole, is maintaining a rather high average: 31,238 spectators for each match, with a stadium filling rate equal to 92.4%. Not since the 1992/93 season have numbers of this magnitude been seen in the facilities of clubs in the top Italian league. The filling rate of the stadiums is also soaring, clearly growing compared to the 83% with which the last edition of Serie A ended.

Also in the top 5 Napoli and the Laziowhich have, respectively, 49 thousand and almost 44 thousand average viewers.Three particular cases should be noted. The first is that of Genoawho played seven games at home. However, the home championship match against Juventus was played behind closed doors following clashes between Grifone and Sampdoria fans during the Derby della Lanterna of the Italian Cup. For this reason, the matches indicated in the ranking there are only seven and the match against the Bianconeri was not considered average in terms of spectators and attendance, since the fans were unable to access the facility.
The second is that of Bolognawho played one less home match due to the postponement of the match against Milan. This data will be recovered at the time of the match, but it is important to point out as it affects the total number of fans who have attended the Dall’Ara up to this point.
Finally, there is the situation of Fiorentinawith the match against Inter postponed after the first 17 minutes due to Edoardo Bove’s illness on the pitch which led to the interruption of the match, which was then postponed to a later date.
